The original concept for Bragdyr Bryn was coined when Geraint Roberts and Euros Jones-Evans were enjoying a drink in The Railway Inn, Denbigh. They were suddenly struck with the realisation that there was no quality local beer that they could drink, and that there was clearly a need for a brewery local to the Vale of Clwyd. The idea remained just that, an idea. However, by July 2004 Geraint was employed as a Senior Brewer at Sharps in Cornwall and the proposal was discussed again. Within a month he had returned home to establish the brewery. Following several months planning, the property was obtained in early April 2005, and by June 2005 our first beer, Bryn Bitter was released. |
